Sensory Regulation
We have worked very closely with our Occupational Therapist to create an environment in the classroom where students can be the most successful with their learning. We have implemented many sensory tools that students can use to help regulate their bodies while they are learning. These tools have helped the students focus more on their learning instead of having to focus on keeping their bodies still. Some examples of these sensory tools are hoki stools, silly putty, pencil toppers, art erasers and slinkies. The students also have the opportunity to visit the sensory room during the school day.
